1. What made you want to compete?
I decided to compete because I needed to set a new goal for myself. After having 2 kids and battling breast cancer, I wanted to become the best me I could be so I chose fitness as my outlet.
2. What do you do to stay inspired?
I constantly read and learn from the pro’s I aspire to be like: Chady, Lindsay, Nicole Costa, and so many more! I keep fitness pictures and goal posters all around my house in every room.
3. What shows have you already been in or plan to be in in the future?
My very 1st show I competed at was the Fitness America show in New England in April 2012 where I won Miss Bikini New England. I then went to Fitness Universe Miami in June 2012 where I won Miss Bikini Universe 2012. My last show was last Nov in Las Vegas at the Fitness America show where I won again the Miss Bikini Universe 2012! I plan on competing and staying with the WBFF now that I’ve read so much about this federation. I love everything about it!
4. Who got you started?
A good friend Kristin Bates got me interested in competing. She talked to me about it and I thought about it for a couple months then jumped right in! Thank GOD!
5. Who do you look to for help now?
I look to trainers and fitness pro’s in my division that can coach me and train me to get me where I need to be. I also look to my clients because they inspire me everyday to want to become better and stronger and never give up on my goals.
6. Where do you usually workout?
I workout at Worlds Gym in Worcester, Crossfit Center Mass where I teach, and Planet Fitness. I need a variety because I live in the gym.
7. Do you use any suppliments? If so, what ones (brands, names, etc)
I use Isagenix and Advocare for supplements.
8. What are your most noticeable results?
My most noticeable results is overall muscle definition. My upper body gets very lean and I love it!
9. Has fitness changed your life? If so, how?
Fitness has changed my life drastically! After finding out I had breast cancer, I decided to start my own women’s bootcamp called Kelleys Bootcamp for Women. This helped me get through day by day. Helping women reach their fitness goals is truly inspiring to me. My business is going on 5 years now and coaching and training women to be the best they can be, has truly changed my life.
10. Describe your diet.
I eat 6 meals a day consisting of protein, veggies, 1 fruit, little fats, and 3-4X/day starches. I am a very boring eater so I usually eat the same foods every week. I just try to use different spices!
11. What does your workout schedule look like?
I workout 6 days a week. Mon is legs/steady state cardio, Tues is chest/back/abs and a HIIT session, Wed is bicepts and triceps and a HIIT session, Thrs is legs/steady state cardio, Fri is crossfit session, and Sat is shoulders and cardio.
12. What do you do for a living?
I am the owner of Kelleys Bootcamp for Women. I train and coach women in a group setting out of Crossfit Center Mass. I also own a tanning salon in Worcester called Glow Tanning.
13. What are your personal non-fitness goals?
My personal goals are to always keep my marriage strong and my family close together. I strive to do this every day of my life.
14. Have you participated in any other sports?
Growing up I wasn’t really athletic but I always tried doing something. I played softball, did gymnastics, and loved ice skating.
15. Here you can mention your family/thank you’s.
I want to thank God for giving me the strength I need each day. I want to thank my husband Tony who is my rock and best friend. I want to thank my parents for being so supportive always and my children Tony and Taylor for keeping me going everyday
16. Do you have any hobbies?
My only hobbies are working out and playing with my kids. I have a very close family so we do everything together always.
17. What are challenges that you face that may keep you from reaching your fitness goals?
Sometimes being a mom is very challenging when trying to reach my fitness goals. I juggle everything to make everyone happy in my family while also keeping my fitness priorities in order.
18. What obstacles have you overcome to be where you are?
I have overcome breast cancer! Nothing can hold me down, not even that!!
